Probably dive into a Raspberry Pi project. Already did a retro console and use it with a couple of
XBox One BT controllers

i copped one of those Teenage Engineering pocket operator devices just to fukk around with but it’s been laying around for months. might as well take it out again and cook up some beats and sell them once corona is done :russ:

Backlog right now

I have a question though, should I buy a cheap Dell Optiplex to create a home theater PC or Plex server or use my synology nas I already have?

Also do I need a smart TV to stream movies from my media server to the TV? (I'm assuming yes)

breh I went the overkill route and copped a MacMini as my plex server and connected it directly to the TV via HDMI. it has 4 USB-C ports so you can connect a bunch of externals to it. I have a smart TV but don’t use any of the “smart” features since I use a Roku Ultra. all of the garbage in these smart TVs isn’t replaceable and you can always get another Roku, but the Ultra is a monster as is.

I’m direct playing 4K content to the TV and I can’t see myself going back to cable. I’ve been running my server for 7 years and for those cats willing to put in the time, this is the way to go. This shyt is the definition of what you want, how you want it.

Outer Heaven
I started moving everything in my loft into my old garage studio today.
It’s not finished yet but here what the new set up is looking like so far

I’ll get a receiver in there in the next few weeks and most likely put a full surround sound set up in there. probably pick up another arcade 1up machine for the sake of symmetry

how is setup? You just remote into it? Or do you just send movies and tv shows wireless over the network to the mini?

Building a new home office. Either going to go w/ the IKEA Gerton table top (staining it myself) + IKEA Alex drawers or Gerton table top + w/ an adjustable frame for standing/sitting.

Also going to take all the cable management/lighting aesthetics seriously. Been past time for me to have a setup like these dudes on Youtube.

Really want to start in on AC Odyssey but taking my time to master both Civ6 and TW3K. :manny:
I got three hours into AC Odyssey. I want to continue it, but being forced to do side quest to progress, and get to do main missions:bryan:
And from what i played them side missions are repetitive already. I could play on easy for the side mission. But that takes the fun out of it, and again. It`ll still be repetitive.

At this point I think the formula Ubisoft uses for AC is to make the world-building so incredible that you don't mind wandering around just sightseeing. The main missions can wait, the side missions can wait, you just want to go see what lies over the next hill. I did that for hours in Origins and didn't mind it one bit, even when I wound up in some situation with hyenas or a snake pit I stumbled into that outranked me...and even then you just run away and put your ghillie suit on :mjlol:and take out everybody from range.

If Odyssey is as much bigger in scale than Origins as people say, I know damn well how much of a time sink it'll end up being. I still want a tighter story though. That part's been lacking big time for several iterations now.
