Dont take too much away from the GAF crowd. All they care about are raw specs. If you go look in the Orbis thread you will see them talking smack about it too in comparison to their super computers.

Its like they live in a world where PC gaming is actually king. They ignore the fact that the overwhelming majority of the gaming public does not know shyt about how powerful certain GPUs, CPUs, etc... are.

I def agree, but there is just too much out there right now saying that MS is undercutting on the new Xbox. I'm just wondering why? Well, the obvious is that they think they can get away with it, but it's like one company has learned their lesson (Sony with no cell and going with off the shelf components) and MS focusing on shyt other than gaming with the new box.

All jokes aside, I was gonna cop both, but I dunno. The multiplat issue won't be a problem from the start this time, so I dunno man.

Its sounding just like 2005 on gaf, xbox 1.5 etc. E3 or march reveal everything will change.

If you can read that shyt, more power to you. The bottom line seems to be that Orbis (the next playstation) has a better GPU than the Durango. The comparison points used are:

Durango vs Orbis
32 ROPS vs 16 ROPS
1.2 TFLOPS vs 1.8 TFLOPS

Apparently, ROPS isn't a very important number but TFLOPS is. Maybe someone better versed in hardware can speak to why this is. I know that TFLOPs basically represents the number of operations per second it can run but I'm not sure what ROPS means at all.

A couple disclaimers:
- These are still rumors but I don't think any of it is far from the truth. Many devs have kits now so leaks are to be expected
- Specs may change. We've seen that before.
- Even TFLOPs doesn't mean much. GPU is only one part of the system, etc etc.

What is KNOWN as of right now is that nobody knows shyt, and those that do? Ain't saying shyt. The leaks that are going around, especially from the xbox side was leaked in 2010
Since then, nothing new has dropped, only "rumors"

My point is this. Anybody can vaguely speak on unfinished specs.
But if there is anything significant in those specs, that WONT be talked about until the time is right. NDA's n shyt. So what convo's get reduced to is talking about TFLOPS and now... ROPS

Thats what im waiting on and is the reason im buying neither at launch. If multiplats are the same on the PS4 then i will cop that first. If they add HBO Go and Watch ESPN then i will have no reason to look at the new Xbox. Watch ESPN is the only way i am able to watch most GT football games so that is a must.

Like most things, Microsoft has the rights to ESPN Watch on consoles.
The whole consoles with "apps" is a microsoft thing. Just like XBL
Having an XBL Arcade, movies/etc. Being able to download demo's
Crossgame chat, party chat... even netflix

All this was Microsofts vision. Here you are still hoping your ps3 & 4 turn into xbox's
