I think this is new news. If I'm wrong, I'll close this. If you're not aware, Durango is the codename for next xbox. New details about its graphics unit have been leaked and you can find them here:
World Exclusive: Durango’s GPU detailed -
If you can read that shyt, more power to you. The bottom line seems to be that Orbis (the next playstation) has a better GPU than the Durango. The comparison points used are:
Durango vs Orbis
32 ROPS vs 16 ROPS
1.2 TFLOPS vs 1.8 TFLOPS
Apparently, ROPS isn't a very important number but TFLOPS is. Maybe someone better versed in hardware can speak to why this is. I know that TFLOPs basically represents the number of operations per second it can run but I'm not sure what ROPS means at all.
A couple disclaimers:
- These are still rumors but I don't think any of it is far from the truth. Many devs have kits now so leaks are to be expected
- Specs may change. We've seen that before.
- Even TFLOPs doesn't mean much. GPU is only one part of the system, etc etc.
-
Let the debate commence.

The thing about TFLOPS is that it's an arbitrary number more geared towards PC benchmarks. In a closed box environment it holds far less weight compared to PCs.
Let the debate commence.
