First off, Seraphin is our future. We all know that (Wizard fans not named masterhater)
Seraphin is BETTER than Nene at this point. But he's not better than Nene in his prime
Thing is, he's well on his way to being that.
Okafor is a great backup.. Ariza is a great role player for ANY team
We got money to blow, and those contracts don't limit us from being a player in a summer freeagent session if a player we needed were to become available.
Right now, we not even worried about Nene. We trying to figure out who belongs where. Who is a starter.. who do we keep once everyone is back
How do we still develop a team full of youngins w/out losing games because of it
Nene will be fine and healthy when we need him. We don't need him right now.
And if he can't get right, then he retires and that salary is off the books :win:
If he doesn't, its cuz he's healthy again and then he'll contribute more aka another :win:

Hollaback haters. Love those new look Giants :skip:

:whoa: Ernie blew our cap space away by doing the Okafor/Ariza trade. Okafor makes $14 million this year and next. Ariza is making $7 million with a player option for $7 million next year. We have room under the luxury tax, sure.

Ernie could have just bought out Rashard and we would have had a lot of cap room this year and max room next year. But noooo, Ted wants what he pays to show up on the court :snoop:

And Nene is still better than Seraphin IMO... Nene is a tad more efficient offensively and I think he's better defensively based on IQ and experience. Seraphin will no doubt get there, but that will come with more PT. Seraphin is an easy guy to root for and I hope we keep him long term because he will be a very good big man for years to come. His offensive game will expand and he is already good defensively, he just needs to work on his rebounding.

And we'd be bidding against ourselves if we gave John Wall the max. :mjpls:

Let him hit the open market and match whatever offer there is. He will be Restricted so all you nikkas talking about John leaving need to :whoa: on a bit.

The time for a new GM was in 2010 when we got John. I'm kind of hoping for the team to do REALLY badly record wise so Ernie can go. It is the only way for change to come. The team is competitive so it isn't like last year when they were out classed and blown away. In fact, the Wizards have 4th quarter leads in nearly every game so far. :hmm:

Trading for Nene was a horrible move. I knew McGee was finally going to come around but DC was not the place. We should have gotten something better in return for him tho.

I can live with getting Okafor and Ariza because if Wall and Nene were healthy, we would be in a fight for the 6th-8th seed. But the shyt that kills me is, why in the hell is Ernie still employed? I'm a big Wizards fan but damn, we have bee garbage for forever. I was praying that the Kings would move to VA so I could get a new team.

Ernie has been the GM since 2003. Let that stick for a moment :dwillhuh:

And our peak was 2005 winning 45 games and getting swept by Miami in the 2nd round... :mjpls:

Or you could say it was 2007 when the team was 1st in the East until Caron, Jamison went down and then Gilbert had Gerald Wallace falling on his knee, effectively ending his career.
