I can't speak for anyone else, but having been in the hood, and even visiting my dad on the west side of Chicago...this shyt aint cute.

Nothing about the "hood" or worse, the projects, is something I would be proud to represent.

I take that back. Getting out and never going back is the exception. Its misery in poverty and dudes wanna fit in so bad that they cant see what it does to our people.

I live about an hour away and I still sometimes go visit the family and chill on the porch but it isn't worth it at all, mane.

I be telling my family to come visit me in the burbs and we can do dinner and try different shyt but they too lazy to come and visit so fukk it

I used to really go down there and visit like four to six different people in one day .... and most of the time they just wanted to sit in the damn house. I can do that at home .....in my nice ass apartment qnd big ass tv and central air........ I just stopped going

Yea. It ain't to say you should forget where you came from, fukk that, but its misery. I don't bother going to the old hood to hang with folks. I mean those who haven't died
or got trapped in perpetual poverty and fukkery.
