Man...sometimes I want to move back to Atlanta because where I'm at is white asf, but it treats me well aside from the heat and sometimes obnoxious Californians that move here, but every time I go back to Atlanta to see family I'm amazed at how it's changed. The increase in crime is unsettling to me also SMH.

The Truth
Can’t play that way on MARTA :francis:

Sad. High key, south in general turning into what the Wild West used to be.

Just went to visit family (not to A) and the amount of abandoned shyt.. like the city was the walking dead.

It was always bad but damn it got worse. Need a fukking fortress to live down there.

And Atlanta I’m sure has done got nothing but worse since last I visited.

Victim blaming. Broke boys got enough for a pistol but enough to catch the bus, and you’re blaming the man gainfully employed to drive the bus. Damn shame how some people think.
Why do you assume he bought a gun instead of stealing one? Especially if he's going to use it in a crime?

Why do you assume he spent his last $2 on a gun and couldn't afford a bus ride?

I've never been to either city, but from NYC to ATL is a major downgrade. I dont think people realize ATL is no longer the land of milk and honey. It just sounds like a shythole now and it's not worth the lower cost of living.

If I'm moving to a black mecca it's NYC or preferably DMV.

They couldn't pay 2 50 and still spat on him?
But he's a crash out?

One of them spit on him so why are you blaming him?

It was 3 in 1 and they were scared to fight back when he swung but they shot him.

I'm not victim blaming, but if I'm a bus driver my gut instinct is telling me to let that shyt slide. I'm sure them lil dudes let off some type of body language that showed they ain't to be messed with. This ain't the 70s no more, Lil kids got guns.

Some people I just don't trust.:hubie::mjpls:

I never understood how so many ppl are against the death penalty.

Put it on the table more frequently, a good amount of this shyt will stop.

You murder somebody, the state deserves to murder you.

And don't come in here hoppin' on my dikk with y'all holier than thou asses.

We could learn a couple things from China.

He moved from NY but he def didn’t move from NYC… he first problem is why is he arguing with a mofo over a $2.50 fare? Dude paycheck is the same whether that fare is paid or not… mans lost his life trying to enforce a fare that MARTA don’t give two cats asses about :snoop:

He should’ve let them on the bus and just avoid the unnecessary confrontation either way he would still be alive had he done that and not have anything to say to folk.. MARTA don’t didn’t pay him to be a fare enforcer

Moving from NYC to ATL for the reasons listed in the thread title makes no sense. ATL is even MORE violent than NYC is. Bus drivers being assaulted is a nationwide problem sadly, NBC News did a story about that and interviewed bus drivers from all over the country.

RIP to that bus driver.

If you're gonna move out of NYC due to violence, move to a rural area or suburb in the south. The hood areas in most southern cities are much worse than the hood areas in NYC. Even Charlotte, one of the better southern cities had a passenger shoot at the bus driver....

There was a article where a family didn't feel comfortable living in NYC due to crime, they moved SC and is doing great there.

Fam these vids are bullshyt… I know a few of my folks who are bus drivers in nyc for the MTA and they never have problems with being assaulted or aggression.. and they drive on lines through the grimiest of hoods…

Folk get on their bus and don’t even pay their fare.. the drivers don’t give a flying fukk and let them on and let them off when they request… they don’t argue with anyone while they knocking down $150k a year

Im sorry but niccas think NY is the NY from the 80s and early 90s. NY is safe as fukk now. ATL in the other hand has spots that I wouldn't stop at a red light :gucci:i
As a 20 year resident of NYC, I agree. Conservative media points out every crime to create a narrative around NYC that unfortunately a lot of people that aren't in the city buy. Obviously there will be crime in a city of 8 million plus, and there should always be diligence to reduce it as much as possible, however the hyperbolic coverage of any NYC crime is to suit an agenda. It's one of, if not the, safest big city in the country.

We seeing different vids. He started swinging at the lost nikkas and one of them pulled a piece on him and pointed it dead in his face. Breh stepped back, the lost nikka put it away and breh decided to swing again.

How you steal off on ski masked nikkas pointing guns at you, expecting a fair one. Everybody a 🤡 in that vid. Fighting jobless YNs while on the clock.:mjtf:

You can't behave like you in NYC in Atlanta. It's best to assume everyone is strapped even if they look frail. Especially if they riding on Marta they ain't got shyt to lose.

Do people not know this or something. Any one I know in Atlanta had their home broken into or their car if not both. Getting robbed at gas stations is normal too
I think people who have never been there really think it’s still the black Mecca.

I know people personally who moved to ATL thinking it was Wakanda and ATL ate them the fukk up and sent them back washed

My own Aunt moved there with her husband and small kids. 4 years later she was going through a divorce. Was in a lesbian relationship and had 4 dui’s. She eventually moved back to Pittsburgh after losing custody of her kids to her husband, broke, and drivers license permanently revoked. She now lives in a one bedroom apartment and has been in and out of rehab for alcohol

I moved to the A over ten years ago. Place is dangerous as fukk for no reason.

The gas station is the most dangerous place you can be. Especially at night or a Valero.

I live here. It’s not the Black Mecca anymore. AT ALL. And I live in one of the “nicest” areas.
