yeah, i feel you. it's just that i had my hopes up when i clicked on the link. i was thinking it was going to be some rocketeer type of stuff

that's why i mentioned how i would have preferred if he took off from the runway rather than being deployed...

edit: plus, you gotta understand, i want a jet pack so bad. after watching this video i started looking at videos on youtube with people and jet packs

I agree and i give him props for something different. I've been following this guy and his device for awhile tho and i just think it's nothing to get worked up over as the next big thing in transportation, personal or otherwise. It reminds me of the Segway craze/hype years ago when it hit the scene.

My real problem is that the design to me is sooo close. I mean you could use the same or smaller types of model airplane engines, stick them on a suit with stabilizers on it and the hardest thing would only be figuring out how to contain the fuel. To make a suit that would weight the same amount or even less than that big ass wing isn't unfathomable in my mind.

As for flying cars never happen either people cant even drive on land without crashing, just imagine a drunk driver in a flying car come crashing down into your house at 3 in the morning.
