I will consider buying this if it has a fukking decent battery life…I can leave my elite controller on the end table like a remote and don’t have to worry about charging it for at least a couple weeks…meanwhile the dualsense needs to be cradled to a charger if I game for 4-5 hours…ridiculous…and I don’t need any fake explanations as to why it runs out so quickly (as if the DS4 didn’t do the same)…sony needs to improve on the battery life…period.

ya, I like the haptics but it dies pretty fast. thought maybe I had a lemon but have 4 Duelsenses now and its the same story for all of em. cant do any marathon gaming sessions without having it hooked up to a usb c cable.

definite pass for me

…there’s just one big question on my mind about the DualSense Edge, but it’s one that’ll have to wait for a review — I didn’t get time to test the battery life, and I worry because Sony isn’t willing to talk numbers at all.

The company is only saying it will have “moderately shorter” battery life than the original DualSense.

I would try the PDP victrix pro BFG but it doesn’t even have basic ass rumble which is a HUGE dealbreaker for a $180 controller…I’ll just stick with the regular dualsense…great controller…the battery life is the only minor complaint

here’s their official response regarding the shorter battery life…

The DualSense Edge wireless controller’s operating time is moderately shorter than the original DualSense wireless controller because we’ve included many more features within the same form factor and ergonomic design as the original DualSense controller. We wanted to strike a good balance between wireless operating time and delivering robust, high-performance features. Additionally, the longer USB braided cable is also great for competitive players who prefer playing with a wired connection to avoid wireless interference – this option preserves battery life.
