:snoop:

making stuff illegal does not change its availability! Illegal drugs are just as plentiful as legal drugs. With a couple calls I can get acid, shrooms, molly, weed, coke, xanax, whatever. People are going to do drugs no matter what laws are in place. Illegalization does much more harm than good. I'd rather the government be regulating these substances and putting age restrictions than leaving it up to the dope man down the street. Addicts are treated as criminals and not sick people in our current system.

Go look at the Alcohol poisoning rates during Alcohol prohibition...A legal market is always better and safer.

lol

Heroin was legal in the U.S. in the 1920's and Bayer was the backer. Didn't show any :deadmanny: results either.

So you're making a case for Bayer to be able to return to distributing heroin?

It wasn't used recreationally when it was introduced to the market btw.

No Im making a case that Heroin was used by big name companies legally and the fact that no one real evidence that people were really dropping like flies.

Yes it was....

So you're making a case for heroin to be distributed by big name companies legally because people weren't dying?

When you go to a psychologist they will put you on drugs even if you're just there to talk about trivial stuff like people who bother you.

Dishonest about what again?

I bet you couldn't tell me the reason why they banned it since it was in the U.S. legally for over 20 years.

@88m3 You seriously need to look up the cases of Drug legalization in Portugal and Scandinavia and educate yourself. You're letting your prejudices get in the way of actually understanding what some of these other people are arguing. I don't have time to do it myself, but take it from someone who has worked in Worker's Comp (where a startling amount of cases are about doctor shopping and preventing this) and Social Work (where the task of taking care of addicts, near impossible in the states due to the way that we treat both the mentally ill and drug addicts, always comes up): Those advocating legalization and redefinition of just what a drug addict is are correct.

Seriously. Look it up.

ya drugs like heroin and cocaine used to be legal, even given to children. and you could buy them at any drug store. there was less people using them too. the fact that legal prescription pills are a leading cause of death in this country is ironic. and they actually kill more people than illegal ones :umad:

Prescription drugs are now killing far more people than illegal drugs, and while most major causes of preventable deaths are declining, those from prescription drug use are increasing, an analysis of recently released data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) by the Los Angeles Times revealed. Prescription Drugs Now Kill More People than Illegal Drugs

How's that war on drugs working out?
