My fro was about 5 inches in length when I got my starter locs. I just used coconut oil to oil my scalp in between retwists. Jojoba oil worked better than coconut btw.

I cut my shyts in April after 4 years of growing. I waited 2 years before I had anyone touch my head. I rocked a fro for the longest. I stopped getting edge ups about a year in. don’t expect drop off the rip. You gonna be ugly for a while but when you get some shake you in there. Have patience breh if this what you really want to do

Nah never heard of it. If it has sulfates or hella perfumes in it I ain't using it. I used Shae Moisture shampoo/conditioner and Taliah Wajiids loccing cream.

Grew my hair out for a year and a half and then got it twisted. It made 4 years since then last month and I have a nice length. Retwist every 3 weeks for like the first 6 months and your hair should lock and you should be good to go from there just need to keep it moisturized and washed

don't fukk with the commercial stuff with all the dyes and perfumes in it. you don't wanna deal with build up. go find you one of these naturalistas they'll put you on

I can't vouch for Knatty Dread products but I wouldn't use them.

I use Taliah Waajid products they're really light and leave no residue

Also Design Essentials is a bit pricey but it's really good and has strengthening agents

I take my locs seriously doggy

I started wit a shaved dome in May 2016.

i had a fro for a bit, then i stopped combing it and it looked like childish gambino's messy twists.

then it started loccin up by itself


now it's like deandre jordan length but i never been to get em done by somebody so they don't look like his.. I find free-form a million times doper.

i prolly wash about once a week wit anti dandruff shampoo

I got rid of my shyt now but for tha locs use pro am styling gel tha chocolate kind, no wax, & use pantene shampoo & conditioner & go to tha shop atleast 1nce every 3 weeks.

For tha braids use tha same shampoo & conditioner. You can use jojoba oil 4 a hot oil treatment & wash it out, & also coconut oil.

Make sure you sleep wit a durag for both hairstyles & shyt you probably gone be roccin a durag from now on if you want yo shyt 2 stay lookin neat & fresh.

How high was they? You mean how long? My shyt was a lil past shoulder length in braids & dreads closer to my chest
