The integration of DRC into this bloc is a bit more complicated than my level of understanding, but the Pres. of Uganda made interesting comments about cultural and linguistic ties of the people within the EAC.

that's pretty rich coming from him considering him and his Tutsi brother Kagame and their troops have been causing conflict on the eastern regions of Congo and trafficking alot of their minerals for years Kagame is such a scummy ass dude. smh

. The country initially does not need the East African market with the fourth largest pop on the continent behind Nigeria Ethiopia and Egypt.
The population is large enough to create a domestic market for any private enterprise.

Access to Eastern ports and reach to Indian and East Asian markets.

Wouldn't a better line to export goods help to facilitate domestic development?

also Djibouti is another Somali country
