Ironically this is kinda the same thing Roland Martin talks about. Black media suffers because corporations don’t force their marketing to go through black advertising firms and on top of that black media doesn’t get ad dollars because they’re not seen as valuable. It’s a circle of hell that keeps black entertainment down.
Right. You can’t win. The only way out is ignoring interacting with their system cause it won’t ever include you without it being on their terms. The WNBA doesn’t make money in secondary markets like advertising or apparel or other trinkets. I can find CURRENT Atlanta Braves gear in TJ Maxx. There’s no female version of this. You know what's even more hilarious?
Corporations hire white advertising/marketing firms and often times those white advertising/marketing firms will take a small portion of the funds and hire a black advertising/marketing firm to come up with the major concept elements (especially if it's a pandering BLM concept,) which they'll turn into a finished product and send to up to the corporation.
We get played at every level.
