This wasn't a street fight my man. Draymond was coming with the energy you'd expect to see during a bar fight or some street beef. Poole couldn't expect draymond to escalate that shyt that fast. If it's "typical" trash talk why would he?
You put your hands on another man's chest and push him like that you better be ready for something. This ain't no game where you push somebody and 5 people grab you and take you away.

And y'all acting like Draymond was the only one talking shyt. Y'all making Poole look hella soft the way y'all defending him.

How hard he tried to push Draymond shows that he understood this wasn’t typical. So either it’s typical and the push was extra or this clearly wasn’t typical and Poole was just lacking. A fight is a fight. Street, bar, house, work, wherever. If that idea isn’t firmly planted in your mind, then you shouldn’t be engaging in anything that can escalate to one. shyt talking notwithstanding.

You didn’t see the part where Draymond walked into him? initiating contact. Poole did what was right, if someone goes into your personal space like that you wouldn’t push them away?

Agreed with your last statement, Poole should have had his hands up ready to go right after the push off
I know. I'm in total agreement with this. Pushing away is a very normal reaction

He could have nugged back if that’s the case..I’ve seen THAT KIND OF PUSH start fights since I was a youth this is my reality read my post might not be what you come from and that’s Ok
You ain't wrong, but the rules of engagement is a little different with teammates/opponents in organized sports though. If it's at the park? Yeah. I'm ready to get busy as soon as he get close, but teammates need to do something flagrant like hit on your girl or go full Delonte or foul the shyt outta you several plays in a row.

I've fought folks during games, but it was after I warned him, the ref, his teammates, and my teammates that his elbows was doing too much. When they ain't listen he caught a few knuckles.

:laff: :laff::laff:The Warriors sound more concerned about who leaked the video and not that Dray tried to knock Poole’s head off his shoulders
That should tell you something :yeshrug:
Fights happen all the time and sometimes it’s to someone everyone knew was going to get his shyt rocked for some reason or another. I played football all the way to college. The number of fist fights were too numerous for me to try to count at this point. And they became more frequent the older we got.

Damn, you really brought up this reference like it's memorable. Glad you dropped the gif
:mjlol:
I only reference that because of the "protect yourself at all times" line Ice Cube did in the movie before they he slept Chris Partlow with a uppercut :russ:

This is all that needs to be said but you got dudes in here trying to psychoanalyze why someone got punched during an argument. Saying shyt like “real men this…” “hypermasculine that…” all because they feel insecure and unsettled by a scuffle. That’s what’s it’s really about. nikkas clutching pearls and feel embarrassed they are the only ones doing it.

We know that the chest to chest, shoulder to shoulder is the neutral zone and invitation to square up. What you decide to do in that moment is what decides the course of action. You don’t want the altercation, then you back up, say “somebody get this fill” or stand firm speak your mind. If you decide to be physical like pushing in that chest to chest square up, youve engaged and whatever happens, happens. Draymond walking into his chest WAS the square up. Poole pushed, so it became a fight he lost for not understanding the rules of engagement.

That’s all there is to it. These dudes grew up watching ppl fight on worldstar though so I’m not surprised by how taken back they are. “Sucker punch” isn’t even black lingo so that exposes them from the jump to me anyway. Tells me all I need to know.

Tell it to the judge. Poole pushed him to back off an aggressor and let Draymond know he's out of bounds....end of story.

If this was the real world.... you back up and take off. Poole just ready to go back to work after typical NBA shuffle.

And black people do say sucker punch from real life to TV. Who are you to say what black people say?.....sounds about WHITE to me.

Golden state is going about this totally wrong

fukk the leak deal with the issue

You don't think they were dealing with that before the video leaked?

The video being leaked is a bigger issue because someone made a calculated decision to comprise the organization.

Whatever fault that lies with Draymond can be put down to his head running hot and acting out during an argument, which maybe egregious in a vacuum, but these type of altercations can happen. Now, of course, intentionally trying to harm Poole because he has ill-will towards him and wants to erase his existence from the team is theoretically possible, but less likely so, and that would be on par with who leaked the video.

We’re assuming this ISNT the case for what reason? Everything about how this was handled and the disregard people with the warriors are giving it suggests that’s exactly what happened imo.

Just say you a weak ass nikka and keep it moving bruh. A man pull up on you with that type of energy after y’all been at it already, lacking.

A man chest checks you after walking up on you after you been talking shyt already, lacking.

You shove a man that’s in your face after he ran up on you, chest check you and you don’t swing, lacking.

You don’t square up after pushing a nikka that ran up on you, lacking.

There’s several things that preceded him getting rocked to kill this notion of a “sucker punch”. Y’all just soft and that’s cool but it’s soft. Stop acting like thinking this was a sucker punch ain’t soft.
:yeshrug:

They're at work they aren't on the street or a bar. And this isn't an Amazon warehouse they are multimillionaire employees playing for a multi billion dollar organization.

19 pages of weak ass nikkas on the COLI calling it a sucker punch after two guy square up, one pushes, and the other swings.
:mjlol:
Poole never squared up man. He pushed the dude off him and then went back to just standing there. That happens all the time. Kobe used to test teammates like that. They never expected him to punch them back.
