Drake’s hits aren’t as memorable as Michael Jackson’s. True or false?

At the time. Anti disco sentiments are well documented and Off The Wall definitely faced the same complaints from many critics and DJs, especially white ones. In the 80s you can look up a whole host of critical takes on drum machines and synths, claiming the music would be dated or not be timeless like previous music. Prince, Stevie Wonder, MJ, and countless others were using that shyt at the time. And while "80s music" definitely sounds dated to that era due to the tech, today no one could deny most of the major hits and artists of that time lasted the test of time. Speaking of drum machines and synths, the same was said about rap music in the 80s and early 90s. "This is a trend, it's not music, it won't last."

The point is that in every decade there are critics or fans who hate on shyt, or who say music was better a decade ago, or say new music won't last. And they are wrong every time. So why age yourself by joining that group of people?
When did anyone say this about Michael’s music :ufdup:pull up quotes.

:mjlol: Michael Jackson is way more talented and had the dance moves to prove it. Plus he’s a way better singer.

True and it always will be true. Drake is playing in the steroid era. Michael got them numbers when you had to actually buy singles. Before the game completely switched over to streaming, Drake wasn't even going number 1. nikka aint get a number 1 until album 4.

We been in an era of disposable music for about 15-20 years now. Of course he can't MJ on that level but now he matched a record they want to move the goalposts :mjlol:

Well the climate of the world was different. We didn't have the Internet to splinter off all the entertainment so vastly. It was more concentrated when it was just TV and Radio, so more ppl HAD to pay attention.

But w/ all that said. Drakes best ain't even holding a candle to MJs B-Sides.
Also to buy music people had to get out of bed, drive to a store and spend money...Now if somones phone is charged they can support numbers...

The "Black or White" Video was too impactful for it not be Classic. It shut television down when it debut. The Morphing special effects changed the game. Had a rap verse in it too. Michael went hard on it talking about "I Ain't Afraid of your Sheets" on a pop record. The Controversy from him breaking all the windows and cars was all over mainstream news It was the biggest hit from "Dangerous". My Favorite record was "Remember The Time". I was shocked it didn't hit #1 but it got close at #3. "Remember the Time" was a #1 song in the Black Community (Matter of a fact it did hit #1 on the R&B Charts). I also loved "Who Is It" and "Give In To Me". People really need to give "Dangerous" it's flowers.

I like Drake's music but to even mention his number ones in the same breath as MJ's catalogue is beyond laughable. :mjlol:

No entertainer will ever come close to the GOAT. End of story.
Why do people compare Prince to MJ? Michael had his first performance in 1966 first hit in 1968 "Big Boy" and Prince came on scene in 1979...

We have a 60's artist with almost an 80's artist ???
