Good lyricism gets so overlooked sometimes...that first verse on elevate hanging onto that same rhyme scheme with the amoeba flow going in every direction was
all with it coming off low key and smooth. shyt sounded great, probably my favorite verse on the past 3 albums.
I dont feel like writing a whole review on my phone. The album as a whole is better than views and more life. Feels like there is so much content with close to no hard skips.
The rap side is pretty much the project I been wanting him to make for years. All rap sound with light singing flows are mixed in. Thats all he really need, it waves up his trackes while hiding his bad singing range. shyt like emotionless is that type of blend. And Is there more is that so far gone type songwriting
The rnb album is the project I dreaded he'd make. A dozen songs of the type of songs I always felt more miss than hit. The album is way better listened to on shuffle cause the music on side B is a chore to get through at once. It still got its gems, I actually fukk with the Mj jawn, sue me.
I gotta give him props tho he does a lot with his music that probably wont be appreciated till he's gone. Dude gives verifiable true content and stories in his music even if they can be cringey like Jaded. I couldnt care less about the shyt the stories are typically about (thots thotting) but its cool to see twitter detectives unraveling the references in his music. Dude is very personal with his music and takes chances on songs that rappers wont touch with a 10 foot pole (jaded, marvins room)
Beats were fire. Hella quoteables
Overall I got it 8.5 /10. easy 9+ without so many of the side b track's weighing it down.
Id def have it above views nwts and somewhere between closely edging out with ML and TML.
