Made it through the first 'side' so far and unless side B is drastically different, I gotta say as a Drake fan (not stan) that this is my least favorite release and probably his 2nd "worst" album if I was to rank all of them.
shyt sounds so bleh and almost forced. going through the motions. not what I was expecting. shyt is disappointing
I'm glad he barely skimmed on the beef shyt though. Drake generally makes timeless music and most of his albums (minus this one, apparently) have endless replay value. Focusing too much on a moment in time, a moment that has already came and went, or will be forgotten about soon by the people still hype on it once the next thing happens (July is right around the corner) , can really take away from the cohesiveness of an album.
Drake's albums have always been kinda cohesive, versus the standard modern rap formula of a collection of random songs that happen to hit all fan "demographics" (trendy artist feature, classic artist feature, ladies song, streets song, club song...rinse and repeat) . But im not getting good cohesive album vibes from this, and the production is lackluster...which is surprising because drake's albums always have forward thinking production

i dunno. maybe i gotta listen a few more times. but this shyt is barely touching a 5/10 and thats coming from a Drake fan who rates Take Care as one of the GOAT albums of all time from any genre

Women are so damn nonsensical at times.
How can they hear Drake say "the only deadbeat are the beats i rap on" but then later on admit to only seeing his son two times since last Fall and not call him out? I've never seen no foolishness like this. Then they gonna run around saying he financially supports his son but go at the regular Joe that does the same thing as Drake

Album was really dope.
i like side A more than side B .
side A is pretty dope, switching the flows, got incredible production. music sounds clear and great.
side B is cool, more r&b so just gotta really treat it as a separate album. except for 1 or 2 tracks on side B.
Could be better than Views and More Life but not better than NWTS, TML or Take Care.
Gotta give it a few more spins.
