Listened to the hip hop side twice through and as someone who is not a Drake fan but listens to all his projects with an open mind and has bought tickets to see him more than once this is a very solid album that is clearly in the upper echelon of his discography.
Anyone calling this classic or trash is clearly too caught up in their feelings about Drake one way or the other. Some of the production is really strong and Drake has plenty of good verses and lines. Hov absolutely kills it and IMO escalates the Cold War with Kanye.
Don’t think I’ll ever listen to the R&B album cause I’m just not interested but structuring it this way at least allows people like me to not have to skip every second song.
