I think it's a bit of both, cause I agree with you.

With that being said he is corny as hell sometimes and it would be WAAY harder to get away with some of the stuff he says and does if he wasn't the biggest rapper in the world

Most wealthy rappers have shooters. I don’t know why they’d think Drake would be different. The streets and the music industry have gone hand in hand since the mafiosos used to have their hand in record labels and artist pockets. A few guys around Drake have caught bodies. Look at Hammer. nikkas would have been dead in the bay, or dear I say cali, if they crossed him but he ain’t never acted like a gangsta or super tough like Degrassi Jr. In Hammers case, some was real love from childhood friends and some was because he gave everybody money. This. His music is cool but aspects of his personality and image are corny. He done plenty of shyt he deserve to get made fun of for. But same can said of most rappers. It ain't that serious
