There's a general consensus on what the good songs are on this, but I'm intrigued at what people think about a track like "DIE TRYING"... :jbhmm:

Feels like it's a dark horse on the opposite end of the spectrum of "Nokia" for a great another song to show that he's still versatile enough to succeed outside of the box.

The lyrics are also cryptic in a way that still make it relatable to everything that's been going on. Feels like he's singing about the game. Shame about all the distractions because SZA or Cudi could've helped set this off....maybe even a Post Malone.

Houston, by way of Pittsburgh.
All these rappers and artists talk about the same shyt but y'all seem to have a fixation on Drake doing this for some reason.

It's a lazy talking point that is never used in good faith and only put out by people like you who never liked him anyway but yet you're in the thread

Speaking for myself. There's no way you're supposed to be this top, game changing artist and there's been ZERO elevation in your music. Not with the subject matter, not sonically. Nothing. I can put on something from $$$ and anything else from the last 10 years and the songs would be damn near indistinguishable. That's unacceptable when you have loads of writers and producers at your disposal who can give you a fresh sound and update your content.

As an artist, when you REALLY put him up against his peers outside of Kendrick and Cole, you really see how stunted his growth is. KRIT, Wale, Sean, Nip, Joey Badass, ect. all shyt on him as artists/rappers and have shown crazy growth and maturity throughout the years in their music. Nothing from those guys (outside of maybe the earlier Joey joints) sound alike or make me feel like I've been consuming the same product for over a decade.

For some odd reason, only Drake is allowed to get away with being the same nikka and making the same mediocre bullshyt. He gets hella excuses made for him and it's almost like there are no expectations for him, despite being a supposed top rapper for all these years. It's strange.

I'm 34, I do not want to listen to a damn near 40 year old man making songs about lusting after 20 year olds, much less song that aren't even good. For the first time in his career Drake has had to dig down into his creative bag and get busy, but he lacks the ability to do so. It's obvious.

Drake is single. Everyone you’re talking about is basically married.
