That's a unique song in Drake's catalog, I'll gladly admit. It's basically the type of track SZA and Doja have been doing for awhile. I wouldn't call it alternative but you know nikkas gonna hear a guitar with no 808s and call it that. But that's one track (plus the Chino one)...are you going to deny the dominant sound on the album is the same downtempo shyt he's been doing for well over a decade? It's basically diminishing returns at this point. Remember when we got so in tune with the "Ross single' sound that those tracks stopped having any impact because it was just retreads? Or when Meek tried to remake Dreams & Nightmares that his intros became jokes. Drake is at that point now creatively. He needs somebody to explain to him that there's more to r&b than 90s/Jodeci/etc.

I'll at least give Weeknd credit for shifting from his own staple sound and trying something else but at this point he sounds dead, creatively. The synth pop shyt is super played.
Die Trying feels very indie rock

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
its crazy I dont even remember the nas jayz stan wars anything nearly like this...to the level people were not enjoying BP2 or Gods son
Cause during that people most of the people who were paying attention was into hip hop. It wasn’t a bunch of outsiders chiming in like now. Social media and the media basically destroyed rap beef for big artists at this point.

Nothing to do with social media though, jay's attitude was totally different.... Jay wasn't acting like a bytch after the battle with Nas. I prefer Nas, I'd rather listen to Nas, I think Nas destroyed the guy, but Jay moves were completely different.

Drake was an obstacle for kendrick. He suing umg because they didnt suppress not like us. Kendrick is more popular now because he is making music people want to hear. Mustard is more responsible for kendrick success than drake.
This is a joke. nikkas dead didn’t wanna go back to 2015 with Mustard. lol. What am I hearing right now? lol. nikka made an extremely catchy diss song that went viral on TikTok and social media accounts. It was dissing the biggest rapper in the world which drew even more attention. If people wanted that “sound” Mustard’s album wouldn’t have severely flopped coming off the heels of Not Like Us.
