On "Passionfruit", they sample a portion of a Moodymann DJ set in the beginning. My homegirl's from Detroit too and she loves house music. I played it for her and she was like,
"Is that...Moodymann?" Sure enough, it is. They splice it in there nicely. It's smooth little nod to Detroit techno/house fans (that DEMF/Grasshopper Underground on 9 Mile crowd).
