The core fans are the people who like the artist right now, i.e. the core fans change. But mostly I'd assume that an artist calls core fans the ones that have been with him from the start to now. Jay-z's core fan base are not the people who stopped fukking with him in 96 and haven't heard a joint since. That doesn't even make sense.

I fukked with him since around the beginning of 09 late 08, fukked with a lot more than now. Than doesn't mean that I'm hating on current fans, new fans, trying to diss teenagers who wasn't on him back then, people who took some time to convince to fukk with a soft ass Canadian jewish child actor and on. It's understandable, I convinced a bunch of my friends, so understandably certain people needed some time. Other enjoy that If you are reading this shyt a lot more than his old shyt, even if they enjoyed that too.


People act like he didn't do like 700k first week with Take Care that he wasn't a main guy in hiphop and YMCMB as if it wasn't the shyt amongst all teenagers, 7-8 years ago. All the 13 year olds were rocking YMCMB hats, and the little girls like Nicki.

Yea....that's just false on all levels. The people that fukk with you when you were doing 8 bar raps on some Canadian show are your core fans. Early adopters. Research what diffusion of innovations is and get back to me since you're having problems understanding. That what's core means. They saw your talent early on and believed in it. Not dweebs, indian kids and white girls that became fans once you were selling out shows and doing Sprite commercials. Comeback Season was like the soundtrack to my life back in 2008 with The Warmup being a close 2nd the following year. i'm sayin - thats the sad thing about this generation of rappers and rap listeners. its not about what you say, its how you say it. most people fukkin with mumble rap couldn't tell you line for line what they saying but the beat is nice and they sound cool. then they'll say some shyt like "nah, you just didn't get", prolly cuz theres nothing to get, its just bare nonsense
