@houston911 I ain't reading that essay.
You're in here discussing an album inspired by UK culture.
The days of Paul Wall are over fam, go gargle some sizzurp and relax
you know, even though this album may be inspired by UK culture, its like, his 6th album right?
his first coupla joints are highly houston influenced. drizzy loves houston and i doubt that youd find him actively casting aside other regions that have meaning and influence over his music.
its def gotta be cool to brits that drizzy is inspired by the UK and the Caribbean for this album, but its just one album, maybe 2 if hes still on that wave in a coupla years.
will you be this confident on the next go round when he finds a new region to be inspired by? or will the UK be the new houston(dead city as you described it), once drizzy and OVO move on to a new sound?
no hate, just commenting that all this regional infighting and trying to claim some intangible reward cuz drake digs grime and enjoys spending time in england, is kinda dumb.
houston is cool, they've made a great impact on the culture. UK is cool, they've also made a dope impact, just like atlanta, new york, LA, etc.
fighting about it is corny.
and again breh, no hate, i think youre a solid poster here, my comment is for everyone involved in trying to hate on each other via whatever region theyre in. i just quoted this one cuz it was the most relevant that i saw on the page.
