This is the thing about Drake's latest projects. And it's telling in this thread that the stans can't even find much content after the hype of having a project from their favorite artist fades away.
It's just a collection of songs. No thought. No concept. No structure. No Easter eggs. Nothing to really sit on.
When people say "you must not go outside if you don't like this", they're partially right. This is just out with your crew/hoes background music. There's nothing to dissect. The raps are all "I'm rich, my crew rich and nikkas is hatin. And oh I'm rich too"
Lyrics are lazy, flows are repetitive. It's basically background music for a good night
Cause listening to this shyt alone, there's just no substance to sit with, nothing to take in. And it's weird because it used to be the opposite with him.
It's why this thread won't even be long in comparison to one like TPAB, despite Drake being a way bigger artist. This shyt is all on the surface and if the people who hate this shyt, stood away from this thread, it would be half as long and his stans would literally be trying to create things to talk about and they would fail.
The music just ain't there anymore. The hype? Yes. The events that his releases are? Yes. But the music really ain't there. Beyond rap. Or him not writing his lyrics. It's just not there anymore.
I've been waiting for a Kanye/Drake collab since Find Your Love and that All Of The Lights remix and Glow is terrible

I really like this album
Once you accept that he may not be actually writing the rhymes, so the lyrics might not be what you think it may be about, and he has to place some singing joints where they don't belong, its a good album with a different sound with a lot of the songs.
