Why assume UMG wouldn’t harm one of thier top artists? Labels don’t always put thier artists first—sometimes it’s about quick profits or contract leverage. The lawsuit says UMG wasn’t neutral and activly amplified the damage to Drake’s brand.

Conflict of intrest is a fair point—beefing artists on the same lable is messy. But if UMG pushed one side harder and undermined the other, it’s not just a rap fued anymore—it’s corporate malpractice.
They were profiting off both artist though. It's likely they pushed both, but Kendricks songs caught on with the public while Drakes didn't.

They might settle simply because the tactics they use to promote songs in general are shady, but it doesn't mean they pushed Kendrick any harder than Drake or in spite of Drake. It might be cheaper for them to say, "yes we pushed this one record" than it is to say "we use these same tactics for all our artists, including Drake". And Drake knows this. I'm sure he is hoping they settle so he can push the narrative that they helped Kendrick win.

But anyone with half a brain can see this is just sour grapes because Drake lost. This has nothing to do with record label integrity and everything to do with Drake losing. His Stanley will say "see they helped him win" but most people will still see this for it really is.

The fact people keep saying he’s “suing kendrick” is why drake should probably just continue to ignore the talking heads. Theres no incentive to pretending to get a fair shake in the media anymore.
Make another 200 Posts. You're just embarrassing yourself at this point. Go to work or reconnect with some old friends or something. What you're doing on here is clearly not working. You're just being mocked and laughed at.

It can be boiled down to that. Your bytch ass admitted yourself, if Drake won, these petitions wouldn't exist and despite the shadiness of manipulation you would be fine with it cause it's Drake
