Yep. That's the thing his stans don't get. His streaming dominance is his old catalogue which Universal owns. Why would a new label give him tons of money when they don't have that back catalogue to recoup easilyim confused about the low balling thing

If we take the lifetime deal thing as accurate then he doesn't have much leverage. Could have been something like signing away distribution rights or breh really only drops on Universal.
Nonetheless, he has a contract to fulfill. If it is indeed set to close, then the only stalling I can see is that maybe they were projected to purchase distribution rights. Since Drake poisoned his own well, the offer is much lower than anticipated. Cue Drake trying to angle it like Universal tipped the scales, as they've done to benefit the Drake act.
