I feel like the "emcee" persona of Drake has been destroyed. Meek was the chink in his armor while he was being defeated with the Ghostwriter claims. Push finished the job.

But POP Drake? That's relatively unscathed. And Prince stopped that from bleeding over when he ended the battle. And now the album roll out and pop sensibilities continue. Look at these singles. Female pandering with Nice for What, CHARITY (which was dope) with God's Plan, now he's tapping the nostalgia vein with this video, despite the song.

I dunno if i've ever seen an artist where the coordinated PR moves were so...out in the open. I criticize, but I find it pretty fascinating, brehs.

In ALL fairness its just a spoof on what happened in the actual show.

That white guy’s character shot Aubrey’s character in the back. Making him paralyzed, hence the “wheel Chair Jimmy” stuff.

So its just Aubrey’s homies getting “revenge”.

The concept of the video was dope since i watched Degrassi when i was a teen. ALL the women that were on the show grew up and got

The fact he managed to get all the key actors/characters back including the dude that shot Jimmy was really dope if you were a legit fan. Jay & Silent Bob was a nice touch too since Kevin Smith directed a few episodes.

But this was the WRONG song to do this kinda video. Honestly “God’s Plan” would have suited this video concept better IMO.

The song is still trash and it doesn’t help the baby rumors when he said,

“Can't go fifty-fifty with no ho
Every month
I'm supposed to pay her bills and get her what she want..”




His people should have known this record isn’t being received well by the public. And especially with how Pusha pretty much tainted the song when he mentioned it on his response record should have been a clue to pick a different track to go with.

But i can tell them folks over at OVO are gonna stay the course and just hope this shyt blows over so they can stack up on the plaques and the sold out shows.

But this kinda L is not gonna go away...it’s just gonna haunt him worse

Yea. The video is dope but the song sucks. I don’t understand why he waited so long to do a Degrassi video. Makes it look calculated He could’ve did this two years ago. With a better song to go with it. The video feels wasted.
