I never rocked with drake at all, can’t fux with any of his music but this album is pretty good for a house record. His voice and content fit for this genre, this will probably be the only drake album I’ll be giving spins to in the future. The edm bros will probably be playin this at ultra next year with 59949 more remixes. O and the stretch from a keeper to flights booked is 🔥

When I saw that Black Coffee was an exec. producer on this, I anticipated the house sound. Black Coffee is a major South African house DJ (he's produced tracks for him in the past too)

A lot of album sounds like it is inspired by South African House/Amapiano. I like that genre of music, so I wasnt as down on the album as a lot of people. That being said, a lot of Drakes international exploration comes off as a imitation/knock-off of the original which is always far superior.

That's the thing. I don't mind an artist being experimental or being influenced by outside genres. The thing is, Drake adds nothing to the styles he appropriates. He copies and pastes them just like he did with the reference tracks that QM gave him years back.

Why listen to a watered down version of music performed by a Canadian former Teen actor, when I could just listen to the real shyt? :manny:

Wow just played this, before I thought you guys were joking.

Why even put this out? This is his worst album :wow: Tf is on his mind?

Its not the style of music either, even if you like bland pop house with douchey lyrics and bad singing this is

That's the thing. If he made fire house music, people would say so. But its not.

fukk it, I'll be the one to say it. Like Eminem brought hip hop to the white masses, Drake brought it to the bytches and dudes that found hip hop to be too scary. He's just a watering down machine, always has been. He tapped into a big audience, mostly thanks to his image.

Imma go ahead and 'unwatch' the thread, something I almost never do. Tired of notifications reminding this a thing. Gave it an honest try this morning and it's garbage except the last song with 21. Drake cannot sing and I don't need him to make some feeble attempt to shepherd me into the house genre. We been on that but it never sounded like this :camby:. I say that as a Drake fan.

Vanilla Ice and MC Hammer did it first. As much as I don't fukk with their music I have to give props
