Bingo. Been pump faking since push ups. He lacks confidence
It's a practice warm up and sign of good grace with the producer

It's not just confidence that is lacking, his entire tonality has changed. There's an underlying saving face element to most of what he's saying

This is meant to be a lyrical exercise but what is being exercised is purely off paper, it lacks the confidence to make it a performance .

It's more of a recital than a rehearsal

He's tentative half-hearted monotonous and an overall low energy dry run

I think this is fire to be honest btw
I haven’t enjoyed a Drake song in years and I’ve always thought his lyrical ability was overrated but this is gas
“Signal conversations I hope they got double encryption
I don’t have a drinking problem I got a subtle addiction”

Same Kendrick “fans” in here dapping, negging, and posting :mjlol: They’ve moved on from pretending GNX is a classic and back to waiting for Drake to do something so they have something to post about

This gotta be the worst place to discuss Rap.

The vitriol these losers have for Drake is comedy. I know the forum has closed registration but it’s the same dusty old heads that run in here just as I think it was @Rembrandt alluded at.

is this where we pretend he didn’t kill this shyt?

the coli is hilarious…

Let them tell it they hate drake, he sucks, has never made a good song in his life. Yet they see a drake thread and burn their phone battery to 0% posting in it and refreshing.

It’s crazy these so called hip hop fans claim they miss real rap and say gotta get back to his introspective roots. He rapping about he feels on boom bop beat and shyt on it. Here in big 2025 we got old ass men on an Internet forum rushing to listening to an artist they claim they don’t like. nikkas claim they ain’t fukking with Drake no more, but he still the most streamed artist monthly.
I hate that people dikkride Kendrick to these ridiculous levels, this guy could drop 2 mins of him farting over beats like South Park and people would crown it a classic. It happens with all popular mainstream artists, but it’s amplified because of his stature and the deeper themes in his music
That GNX is a 6/10 album at best and no one wanna be talk about how much inspiration he got from Drakeo
Mfs comments in this thread are all about the beef and nothing in regards to the music, is he supposed to be rapping like DMX on this chill ass beat :dahell:
People feel like enjoying everything Kendrick puts out and hating everything that Drake does indicates their taste and makes them “real hip hop fans”
And I say all this as someone who hasn’t listened to a Drake album since Take Care, I’m really not a fan of his music post 2012

That’s the part right there. Sure the beat is cool, sure is rapping is top tier. But if you take a step back and REALLY listening to what he is saying after EVERYTHING that went down this past year.

That man is HURT hurt and depressed. Throwing that part in there about his half sister and not acknowledging her as family was like:gucci:

Saying that you have a “subtle” addiction to drinking after Kendrick accused you of having drinking problems. Saying that you picked up your dads habits and that you have your mom’s permission says to me “The reason I act wild is from my black side but i can get away with it cause I got white privilege.”

Then him saying all the religions and shyt..

“Meet The Grahams” hurt his soul..and you can HEAR it.

And the fact some of y’all are just so focused on his flow and word play and not LISTENING to the lyrics says a lot.

This man mentally fukked up…

“Family Matters wasn’t the best diss, but it was the best overall song” :laff: :laff: :laff: :laff:
