I thought that this latest album was listed under PND because Drake contractually can't release new music or it would be pulled by UMG. Most people with common sense should know that lol

It wasn’t listed under PND, I was easily able to type in Drake and have it pop up a little after midnight. It took absolutely no effort to find that album. These stans are narrative spinning to splain what’s been happening to Drake for basically the last 3-4. Even before contract negotiations with UMG and before the beef, drake wasn’t doing prime Drake numbers and had took a dive in first week sales. All of this would’ve went under the radar and Drake fans would’ve enjoyed the material nonetheless if the kendrick beef didn’t give them pretense to form theories and complain about the boys numbers. The beef turned these sales into a Cold War and thus it’s no longer acceptable for then to enjoy his music. They want to win the Cold War or provide cover for why Kenny is keeping up with the boy, as if it hasn’t happened multiple times before(notably with Damn!).
