Nah. I'm not saying either of them don't have genuine fans. I'm saying Cole is the only one without the machine interest. Kendrick has greatly benefitted from media interest and Drake from corporate interest. Cole has neither one. He just does him.

You were almost there….

all 3 of them are HEAVILY pushed and supported by “the machine”…they all just have different gimmicks and are marketed in different ways…I’m 100% with you in that it’s hilarious watching rap smarks wholeheartedly buy into Kenny’s “bohemian artiste, hood superhero ….he doesn’t even have a phone bro :lupe:” schtick like it’s all not a fukking work to sell records…everyone sees and acknowledges Drake’s gimmick, but with Kenny it’s:

Cole marks aren’t so insufferable with it, agreed….but he just ruined his years long angle to the top of the card by breaking kayfabe :snoop:

There’s so much wrong with this title

1- You don’t call your unreleased record a ‘hit’. We tell you it’s a hit. It’s yet another weird and quite frankly disgusting attempt by him trying to strongarm the culture in-authentically. He’s been doing it since the start of this

2- It’s outdated af. The biggest hits of 2024 are Euphoria and Like That. 2 disses. One doesn’t have a hook, the other barely has a hook. They’re not catchy, they’re not ‘for the LadIes’, none of that shyt. Yet the implication of saying ‘Drake got a hit’ as if he’s gonna hit the masses in some newfound way that kendrick ain’t already doin. Outdated

‘Yea Glo’ is a hit. Bossman Deelo has a hit. People fukkin with energy and authenticity. Take a deep look at Drake’s last few hits. Ft sexy Red, ft SZA, ft J Cole, ft 21 Savage…..You break my heart was dope, but Fab version was better. He’s had a uncharacteristic run of wack singles: Circo Loco sampling on ‘one more time’ :scust: 2 Sexy sampling Right said Fred :scust: a complete dud house music album.

There is a LOT riding on this record. If he tries to drop a hit and it ain’t a hit?? He’ll bury his head in the sand he’d be too ashamed to show his face. He’s put ALL his eggs in the ‘I’m the most popular’ basket yet here’s kendrick putting up Elvis numbers .

And it doesn’t help that Kendrick’s “Euphoria” is winning in all the metrics that a Drake song normally gets. Charts, radio play, TV. Hell, there were various times I saw my wife scrolling TikTok and sooooooo many people are using sound bites from “Euphoria” :laff: Kendrick isn’t Meek Mill where he’s basically a self-sabotaging easy target, nor is he Pusha T where he isn’t on the popular mainstream level as Drake. Kendrick basically covers all bases.

FACTS!!

Kendrick isn't some lesser-known dude who is throwing disses at Drake. He's one of the more celebrated dudes to drop in the past 12-13 years. He actually came out after Drake! So whatever he does is gonna chart and be analyzed and uplifted. He's also considered to actually be a certified part of pushing Hip Hop culture forward. Not a manufactured pop act who gets by and doesn't write. Dot is a substance artist. No fluff. No microwave sh*t.

So this isn't gonna be something Drake can get saved from or throw a bunch of Hollywood antics at. This is literally where MC's show how crazy that pen is and get in the booth and bar up. But look at who we're talking about here. This dude ain't never been about no Hip Hop sh*t. He can't deal with any of this.

yep. Guarantee the next move will be more about changing the media and consumer conversation rather than out rapping him and proper disses. He's just gonna look for some dirt.

But I think Drakes ego...might lead him into a trap tbh. He's better off not responding to this...but he will.

Kendrick been skating with his bs for a minute now. nikka get treated like a messiah and everything that nikka does gets overrated. I'm not invested in either one tho. Kendrick is a media darling and Drake is a corporate darling. Honestly I WAS invested in Cole smoking Kendrick tho. He's the only one that has a genuine fanbase imo.
What makes him a media darling? Cause he drops impactful music and people gravitate towards it?

Throughout this whole shyt you ain't seen Kendrick make one post, one tweet or message any of these bloggers

Ok that's what you think. I think he's overrated too but all his acclaim is clearly warranted. When his last album dropped madd bytches on my instagram was playing his shyt

The people love him and he clearly doesn't mingle with the media like Drake for favors.
