Am I the only one that doesn't feel like Drake and Ludacris ever really had a beef? :patrice:

Was there shots back and forth that I never noticed?
Drake did the how about now verse

then mentioned how the supa dupa flow was being overused and specifically used a Ludacris line as an example [to be fair it was a bad line]

i think thats when Luda said something in a song, and also confirmed the dating the same girl on the Breakfast Club

Drake threw a shot at Luda for his “Parade…Macys” line and was saying that only he and Big Sean can use that style and Big Sean basically backed him up saying he was the originator of the style and Luda came back with a song basically outlining how various rappers from the past have utilized the style and Drake and Sean went on twitter basically saying old nikkas was hating on them.

I get what both of you are saying but I guess I'm used to beef being career on the line. Even the how bout now line doesn't feel like a diss because Ludacris was a star at the time so it makes sense for someone to react that way. I just don't feel like there ever war that thing that was a declaration of war from either side.

It wasn’t a declaration of “war” but it was clear there was tension and it was kind of blown up because Drake was still seen as the “nice guy” back then so for him to say something disrespectful about someone as certified as Luda was a big deal. And then Sean backed him up. It was also presented as the new school not being knowledgable about the old school as the Supa Dupa Flow wasn’t anything new at all and Luda exposed their lack of knowledge with his response.

It wasn’t a huge deal at the time but it was notable. Drake and Luda squashed it pretty quickly afterwards and Luda went on The Breakfast Club and said himself it was all over a girl and he didn’t even know she was messing with Drake at the same time he was messing with her.

And Luda invited both to spar it out in the booth, and both of them got quiet as fukk.

Luda has that Redman/Busta energy, you won't see him in any top 5s....but lowkey nobody wants to fukk with those kind of rappers:

I was a criminal for 6 years straight. More of my drama was about that over any illegal activity.
