That's the thing man, I was the biggest drake fan before this happened. Dude really had a claim for greatest discography of these new school guys. He had the technical ability and the crossover appeal. He wasn't the most street guy, but the fact he made it in spite of all that shyt stacked up against him was a testament to the guy's talent. But that was all predicated on his ability on the mic. Contrary to what Drake is trying to say now, he's not a "singing nikka", he's a rapper who sings a bit. He's not usher. His appeal was that although he was "soft" he had real abilities on the mic and was able to tell his story in an undeniably talented manner. But to be not writing your own shyt while claiming you the nicest in the game means you a fraudulent ass nikka. That's why I'm so disappointed by this, because dude had a legit claim on being king. How you the best rapper alive when someone else is telling you how to rap and what to say? And I'm not saying he's never written a verse in his life, that would be ridiculous. But the fact that he reference tape dropped and he hasn't even denied any of this is proof enough for me. If this was a one time thing, he'd have responded differently. But he's asterixed in the game now. He's a more talented Easy-E now; a guy whose main contribution is style.
