Let's keep it a 100 right now, If the roles were reversed and Drake called out meek for havin ghost writers and needing reference tracks. A lot of yall Drake stand would be flamin Meek to the 100th degree. You wouldn't make excuses for that nikka at all.

But since it's Drake on the hot seat, it's different :heh:
I'm far from a Drake defender but if Meek don't release shyt by today , it's finito , we gave this nikka numerous chances and he ain't chef up nada he had two perfect opportunities one with flex and the other at Drake's hometown and all he been doing since the inception of the beef is tweet like a bytch at least drake sending shots on the mic rather than social media the fact that this nikka still tweeting after the diss is an automatic L , but that doesn't mean Drake off the hook for using ghostwriters though

Compared to what Meek's released so far, the two tracks Drake released are the greatest diss tracks in recorded history :francis:

I'm contextualizing this in the bigger picture.

Yes, Meek Mill hasn't dropped shyt.

But in the grand scheme of things, Drake's 2 tracks would not go into the hall of fame of diss tracks.:aicmon:

This shyt made me laugh out loud, so how is that not effective? :heh: Memorable lines, great beat, vicious lil digs.....I mean hell, he came correct. This nikka out here being strategic and everything. You can't hate this.
word. had to listen to it real quick on my break and was rollin. Meek was stupid for starting this corny shyt, now Drake having fun out here at his expense

nikka, I got the actual receipts of the Weeknd basically taking another nikkas song and creating some of his biggest bangers FOR A MIXTAPE.. lyrics and all

So what you're trying to say that another artists got an entire album written by another artist... who got a lot of his bangers written by other artists :ohhh::mjlol:

And the entire Take Care album was written by the Weeknd:why:

Young Chris would be rolling is his hiphop grave if he saw this thread:why:

The funny thing about that is...

Even though he never claimed to be a MC...

THE PUBLIC CALL HIM THE GODFATHER OF GANGSTA RAP BASED ON THE SONG "BOYZ N DA HOOD" EVEN THOUGH EVERYONE KNEW HE WASNT WRITING HIS OWN RAPS.

So if THE PUBLIC don't give a shyt about Drake writing or not why should "real HipHop heads" care? How many rappers attacked Eazy E for not writing besides the beef with Ice Cube?

Dre Day is a CLASSIC too

Did Dr Dre write his parts? shyt....Did snoop even write his parts?

Fair point...... I'm fairly certain Snoop's pen is certified, although he probably don't write his own shyt now..... I guess back in the day, the hip hop ambassadors really drove public opinion, so if your rap peers said you were fraudulent or a biter..... the fans would give the rapper grief and lose respect for him......

Now, it seems that Hip Hop's cultural rules no longer applies and the general public just make up new rules as the years go by..... :manny:

Eazy was an image booster for NWA, kind of like how Bushwick Bill was for the Geto Boys but less gimmicky..... Dre\Puff never hid that they recited instead of writed......

I guess the thing is, Drake is claiming to be a top MC in this rap shyt, and currently is the man right now so people are gonna look at taking shots at his credibility...

The aforementioned were never top tier MCs in their respective eras(excluding Snoop) so I can see why they got a pass to a degree....

And the Big/Dre situation is well known.

Dre admitted that he wrote a good number of Big's verses on they debut album.... he didn't ask for any writing credits though..... just helping out the group

I been into Outkast since "Player's Ball". That rumor started because Cee-Lo was pissed off at them and wanted to start some shyt in an interview.

I have seen zero proof since then.

Now, if you have proof let me know and I'll take the L. But I've seen that rumor going on probably 10 years, and it never goes beyond this stage.
