Son doesnt strike me as the type to miss a release date January ain't looking likely.

It won't be Friday coming so he's essentially got 11 days from here to roll this out? Nah doesn't feel likely

I can’t see a major artist dropping an album before touring is back

Sound sound sound
The Weeknd, Ariana Grande, Dua Lipa, all of those Latin albums, etc.

Rap may differ as a lot of these dudes appeal is just energy.

The Weeknd released right when the pandemic started..I don’t think they coulda pushed it back at that point with his buzz

but I think if it were scheduled for later in the year, it would’ve been pushed back

same with drake..laugh now, cry later was definitely supposed to be the rollout for an album like a month or so after it was released

Yep. Weeknd already had his tour set up. There was no pushing that album back.

thats lowkey way Dark Lane Demo Tapes was the PERFECT "stuck at home" album... a lot of artists were scared to drop during the pandemic when they know the entire mode of consumption was different

He’s gonna need a Gods Plan type of single for a really big buzz. Maybe a 0-100 type single too.
