This album and Donda are two completely different albums but are similar on levels of enjoyability imo

Yep. I’ll forever support Cudi because of his connection to Cleveland. What he did on those mixtapes and loosies from that 08-10 era as well as Man on the Moon was unreal
Cudi had a better album that Drake and Ye this year honestly. MoTM 3 is better than Donda and CLB right now in my book. I need to digest these 2 a bit tho

Man this shyt is way too long tho, I'm looking at the track list like "21 songs??" :gucci:
I thought it was gonna be 20 songs, especially after Scorpion broke so many streaming records with its 20+ tracks.

I just miss when artists gave us a nice 12-15 song album. This album could’ve been trimmed down. Put out a deluxe if it’s that serious

Album is meh. I think Dark Lane Demo Tape had more tracks that I liked. This album has a lot of tracks that didn't really do it for me. Honestly started dozing off a bit after the 7AM track. Best tracks to me are

Papi's Home
Fair Trade
Pipe Down
Yebba's Heartbreak
No Friends in the Industry
Knife Talk
7AM
You Only Live Twice (Always good to hear a motivated Lil Wayne)

7/10 and pretty decent

I think the strength of this album is Drake going back to some of the stuff that worked for him in the first 6 years of his mainstream career. They are moments on here that remind me of Nothing Was the Same and like diferent tracks from 2011-2016. Hes not doing UK accents or biting certain mumble rappers. Just sort of locked in with the rapping inspired by Wayne/Jay and singing that come there

Theres still a lot of filler though, particularly some singing stuff and that Future/Thug track might be WOAT, also the first beat on the intro is weird. Its starts akward but settles in. Unlike Donda where I know that shyt needs to be trimmed but cant see where, I know this can be trimmed into a great album that play to his strength.

7 am, the Cudi track, Ross/Wayne collabo, The Tems track (for international mainstream playlist purposes lol) Race my Mind, the Hov track are all cool

Theres a few other tracks I was okay with it while listening that I'll see if they stick to the ribs later (Fair trade, Knife talk, Papi's home)

MoTM 3 is solid. Unfortunately for me, Cudi reached such incredible heights with MoTM & 2 that everything after pales in comparison. Not his fault, he was in a somewhat dark place in those days but that’s also what made his music hit so hard.

Drake has entirely too many songs that sound exactly like The Remorse now
You only live twice sounds straight outta 2011, and not in a good way.
Can’t critique the man too hard since people are still eating it up so heavy but I feel like he needs to work with some more producers.
