Cool album, needed more demonic shyt talking thumpers and less crooning
I've been living with the album since it dropped. Purposely stayed out of this thread until now. The production is A1. The Mix is so crisp. This shyt passes the whip/monitor/headphone tests with FLYING colors. I haven't dug through the production credits yet but I'm eager 2. The production is cohesive and fits all my vybes....driving, partying, and working out. You got tracks that you can do it ALL 2 and it flows.
I really liked when 21 spits and drake does the adlibs almost on that old school jada/styles P shyt. I wish they did more of that. They both were spitting on here. I love when drake just rips shyt good to hear him getting lyrical and just flowing. 21 consistent didn't re-invent the wheel he did what he does.
It definitely felt more like a drake album featuring 21 than a true collaboration. Almost all the same flaws in WATTBA were here as well. It Is what it is and I doubt these guys were locked in the studio together crafting this so whatever. My only beef is drake's crooning is OD. I'm a big fan of crooning; but not from drake. He needs to leave that shyt alone. it makes a couple tracks skips for me everytime.
Also where are the visuals? These songs provide a LOT of opportunity for music videos. Overall one of my favorite projects to drop this year. I don't think this is gonna be "hot" like WATTBA. Prolly gonna have heavy replay value.
