So what does dragons dogma play like?
Uh....
Nothing else really. The only things I can compare it to is "Dark Souls" with better combat, mixed with "Shadow Of The Collossus".
There's nothing else like it really.

Pawn system is one of the most unique things in gaming and the 1st game was way ahead of it's time.
You create your main character, and a Pawn. Other people can use your Pawn (and vice versa) and the Pawns use the information from their respective worlds (quests, item locations, monster weaknesses, etc.) to help the player in the game.
So it's possible to get a Pawn that actually knows more about the game than you do.

Exactly what I was going to say.
I played DD before any MH and I noticed the weight, aiming and even some animations reminded me of DD.
Some of the skills carried over too. My friends used to be like "How are you so good at jumping on these monsters?"
