Regardless of who fights who there has to be some type of evil threat. I understand they're fighting for the Omni Kings entertainment but theirs gotta be more to it than that. Hopefully this arc fleshes out more things about the Gods of Destruction, how they are chosen, what their true purpose is etc.
I was rewatching the Android/Cell Saga recently and it hands down has to be the best DBZ arc of all time. They knew the threat was coming and they still weren't fully prepared. Dr. Gero and Android 19 came threw and started destroying cities searching for Goku.... Trunks finally showing up and saying "These aren't even the ones I was warning you about.."; perfect plot twist. Then the real androids show up and were ruthless but still had personality. Cell showing up as a 3rd party threat to the androids and the ZSquad...The first moment when Cell starts saying "Khamehameha..." my mind literally exploded! And then he went SSJ?!? Then the Cell Games...
And the fact that all of these things were man made creations made the threat more personal.

That whole arc was just the perfect culmination of power ups, threats, twist. Everyone leveled up in strength because they had to.
There hasn't been an arc or villains quite as good sense.

side note: goku close to going to jail for child endangerment....standing there smiling, all happy and proud while his son might die lol...
next week though: look like toppo want some of goku....hope he know he fukking up, vegeta aint gonna like that and gonna wanna have some words with thee when he find out...hopefully we get that match up: future god of destruction (toppo) vs potential god of destruction (vegeta)...

i only said that cause he's the only character we know that's strong as hell....and with goku going against the deadshot cat, let vegeta have him......but after seeing this episode with subtitles, let me rethink it...it seems there might be others out there stronger than toppo/deadshot cat.....let vegeta get one of them....

also, the running theory some of yall have about a certain person being the bad guy is wrong...this episode just laid it all out there....got me curious as hell about the other unis not numbered 7 & 9, but especially unis 1, 12, 5, and 8....
