Essential Dragonball Super? New series set after Majin Buu saga

as for this new series, we all know how it'll play out: they'll be some villian that's stronger than them...they'll train, get stronger, beat him/her, wash, rinse, repeat....which i'm cool with, no need to reinvent the wheel....as long as it means new cool looking powerups and fight scenes, i'm down...

That's the point there are even stronger forces out there and now the only way to continue, is to create new powerups out of toriyama's ass. It's like he climbed so far up the power scaling totem poll it's impossible to have good writing going forward. What purpose does SSJ levels 1-3 serve now if we have God form ? You can't be a villian worth episodes in a series unless you are threat and danger, and that's only possible if you are stronger than the strongest form. It's like Toriyama didn't realize the corner he was placing himself in when he started relying on powerups for everything.

Not every body is a god though. So gohan and all them will probably still go ssj1. and if we are to believe AT, then there is no more SSJ2/3/4. Just ssj and god ssj. (there was an interview where he stated that we probably wouldn't see ssj2+ anymore)

So now, people will just have stronger base PL and go SSJ/SSJG at the brink

Hopefuly he reserves the god kai for just the pure saiyans.

Or atleast, that's what im assuming from AT interview and the recent movies.

the cell games was the setup to make gohan the lead, but the fans didnt like that shyt....they wanted goku as the lead....the creator has said so himself....all you gotta do is look at how the manga/series played out after the cell games...gohan went from being the next savior, to just being a background player, while goku went back to being the one to save the day....

Yep Gohan was clearly meant to beat Buu after dieing after the original encounter and then getting the mystic power up. Arrived on the battlefield and then gets beat the fukk up by Buu straight up sabotage and I'm not even a fan of the character.

Well I haven't been up to date or aware on his interviews so this is news to me, but you see how he attempted to fix is conundrum. He essentially nerfed his characters to allow room for new sagas

I always hoped tori yams would bring back the saiyans and the planet Vegeta. Already that creates instant conflict for the main characters and you get instant fanboy gratification with all that gold hair.

Toriyama story telling been kinda flabby lately
His special chapter on Bardock was :basura: and the only thing he seems interested in doing is making new ultra teal purple haired super sand Goku to come fight some irrelevant villain while everyone else watches
Still hyped as fukk though and he probably knows this
I'll definitely have to wait and see
On the other hand at least GT is firmly in the bushes now
