The story is kind of different in this game

You pick a character a you play out their iconic fights/moments with being able to make different decisions like Goku fighting Cell before he absorbed #17 or going to fight Raditz alone

They follow the story by canon DBZ (minus Garlic Jr. Saga) to Super

Since GT isn’t considered Canon it isn’t apart of Story mode
