Is it worth playing Inquisition before playing this game?

No point in playing it just to play this game. But you should play Inquisition just because it's hand down the best Dragon Age game.

People really crying about how companions don't die, previous game choices don't matter, and there is no renegade option.

I believe all these issues derive from the story being mostly created as a live service campaign.

Then, they finally retooled it to be single player campaign. It was apparent with Gotham Knights as well, but this wasn't half assed.

The renegade stuff is pretty sad, because that's usually the funniest dialogue option in the series.

What's hilarious is that, at least in the case of Fextralife spent a whole ass video concocting up this idea that he got blacklisted based off of his preview video potentially being seen as not positive enough, but being so self involved that he couldn't put together that the most likely reason he didn't get a copy was due to the preview video, but not his actual thoughts on the game.

Creh goes out of his way in the impressions video to complain about going to the preview event because he had to pay for his own airfare and lodging, wasn't compensated for his time, and thought the whole process was too time consuming and took him away from making other videos. I've never worked for any publisher's partner relationship program, but I know enough to say that getting invited to a preview event, and then complaining about how you weren't given enough money and free shyt, and wanted to have time to do other shyt is an easy way to get yourself on someone's shyt list.

it literally doesn't get more 'woke' than BG3 either and those sales got no problem speaking for themselves. unless you're actively engagement farming like the rest of these reviewers - who are SCRAMBLING to justify their job value for saying dumb shyt like Golum and Space Marine deserve the same score - then you can do yourself a favor and not give a fukk. like the staggering majority of people who buy games and never even look to see who's developing what.

Fextralife has never been a reputable source. They get a lot of the stats wrong for Souls games so I don't really use them anymore for info

"Everything wrong with gaming" according to them, but now a guy who quite literally has 100% taken money/sponsorship opportunities from Ubisoft in the past says what they want to hear about a game they have been wanting to hate for half a decade... and he's "the only reliable voice" because "all the other positive reviews were obviously paid off". Cannot fukking stand game culture/discourse man.
