Drafting Bol Bol is going to get somebody fired

MPJ has already given them nice minutes with a few big games. He’s scoring and rebounding very well in limited minutes.

Those two need to put in work behind the scenes and in practice. So far both have been impressive when I’ve seen them.

Health permitting, I’m just not sure that Denver is ready to throw them both into the fire full time with the short turn around before the start of next season. Now that might change since it’s an all hands on deck situation and they need all the available players they can get.

MPJ will probably start at the 3 next year and Bol Bol has the inside track for the backup 5 with plumlee leaving.

It wouldn’t surprise me if they tried to bring back both Plumlee and Milsap on a one year deal since team chemistry and cohesion is going to play a big part in who wins this season and next season.

I don’t know why the Warriors or other teams didn’t take a flyer on him. Especially considering that a lot of second round picks don’t pan out or even make it from overseas to play in the G-League.

I think they’ll try to bring back Millsap, hopefully for a discount since they picked up his $30m option this year. But plumlee’s gone unless he doesn’t get any money anywhere else. Nuggets are strapped if they bring grant and Millsap back and plumlee can probably find a starting job

the archetype of Poole made sense for what they wanted, combo guard that could play when either lead guard sits. I'd wait until that happens before burying him. plus that roster just fukking stunk

but your point is true, and not just in terms of drafting, but also FA. they failed basically every time to fill out that bench with competent vet mins during the Durant tenure. Ill give em Nick Young, because he was highly coveted due to how ridiculous he was on catch and shoot for a period the previous season. but everyone else since, awful

Someone on twitter called him a nikka Porzingis, which I thought was funny, but also illustrative of how little of these athletic gigantic stretch 5s have panned out. Bol so far looks like the most athletic out of that bunch, and it looks like the defense kinda coming together. There were a couple possessions I saw where he missed the help, but there's others where he did. as long as hes improving

I'm drafting him top ten. 7 foot 2 guy who csn shoot like that and moves as fluidly as he can? Dribble like he can? Dude moves like a slower, longer Kd. Im taking him and making him a tweener forward to start like they did with KG. I don't expect him to bang but the NBA more and more is rewarding skill. And even if hes not laterally as quick hell be a defensive nightmare for some forwards
