Funny thing about that is if you look at past couple draft lotto results, they've raised suspicion. That's what I think Milwaukee is a lock to win.

2010: Wizards win after the season featured Abe Pollin passing away and Gilbert Arenas fiasco
2011: Cavaliers win the season after LeBron leaves
2012: New Orleans wins after the Chris Paul trade fiasco and new ownership group
It was the Clippers pick that won.

Do Cleveland have a lottery pick again this year? I don't think I can handle them fukking up another pick.
I think Cleveland and Chicago got pic proof that Stern molested kids or fukking sheep or something. Those teams have had so many #1 pics since I've been watching basketball.

And don't forget Milwaukee just got new ownership so this would be a gift to them even tho the team sucked

I would SOOOO NOT be shocked if the Lakers end up with the #1 overall pick.

I predict the Sixers get the third and tenth picks, respectively.

Magic face astronomical odds to win two of the top three picks

Improbable.

But not impossible.

That’s the best way to describe the Orlando Magic’s chances of leaving Tuesday night’s 2014 NBA Draft Lottery with two of the top-three picks in the upcoming draft.

The Magic will have two first-round draft picks: their own pick and the less desirable of either the Denver Nuggets’ pick or the New York Knicks’ pick.

To determine the chances of the Magic receiving two of the top three picks, the Orlando Sentinel enlisted the expertise of Larry Winner, a statistics professor at the University of Florida and an expert in probability.

According to Winner, there’s approximately a 1-in-13,167 chance that the Magic, the Nuggets and the Knicks will simultaneously win top-three picks in the lottery. Expressed as a percentage, the probability of that scenario occurring is 0.0076 percent.

With their own pick, the Magic will have approximately a 47.0 percent chance of receiving a top-three choice: a 15.60 percent chance of picking first, a 15.74 percent chance of picking second and a 15.59 percent chance of picking third. The Magic can receive no worse than the sixth pick.

The Nuggets finished with the 11th-worst record among non-playoff teams, while the Knicks finished with the 12th-worst record among non-playoff teams.

For the Magic to receive a top-three pick from the Knicks or the Nuggets, both the Knicks and the Nuggets would have to finish the lottery in the top three.

Winner also calculated the odds of the Knicks and the Nuggets finishing the lottery with top-three picks and the Magic finishing outside of the top three with their own pick. The professor said there’s a 1-in-2,298 chance of that scenario occurring (0.044 percent).
