John Cena has successfully followed Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Dave Bautista in making the jump from the squared circle to the silver screen, with increasingly meatier roles in films such as Trainwreck, Daddy’s Home 2 and the upcoming Transformers spin-off Bumblebee. However, while he’s proven himself as an action hero and a surprisingly hilarious comedic actor, he’s not branched out as much into more interesting and unexpected roles — but may be hinting at a big role and a shift to television in the near future as his nearly inscrutable Instagram is hinting something to do with Alan Moore, Dave Gibbons and John Higgins’ masterpiece, Watchmen.

John Cena’s Instagram is often a topic of discussion among wrestling fans because unlike most grapplers who share workout selfies and sponsored meal supplement posts, John Cena prefers to share seemingly random images found from the oddest corners of the internet without any explanation or context. In the past two weeks, Cena has posted about Watchmen twice: one of The Comedian’s blood-stained smiley face button and a piece of fan art featuring Doctor Manhattan.

Good for him I guess but I have no faith in him pulling off a role like Dr. Manhattan. The unintentional comedy could be worth it though
