It's a Hollywood movie, if you think they are going to stick to facts, why even bother. It's like reading a good novel and a movie is made based on the novel. The movie rarely completely mirrors the novel. It doesn't even matter if it's biographical, they take "creative" licenses with it.
Denzel did an incredible job playing Malcolm X but Brother Baines, a pivotal character in the movie wasn't a real person, but is a combination of two people in Malcolm's life. Tina Turner's first child isn't Ike's, but in What's Love Got To Do With It, Ike is the father. She was also never raped by Ike, but there is a graphic scene in the movie where she is.
