it became a more tolerable album to me after i revisited earlier this year but with that said, it's still was a letdown in terms of it bein' a "dr. dre" project

but hey, he's old and disconnected to what works now and time has passed him by. dre ain't thinkin' and focused on the music like that at all no more

i don't think there will be a "Memorable" album in this day n age, because with that logic, some of the classics from the 90's wouldn't even survive if the internet was around during that time like the way it is now. Albums take time to marinate and have to be played more than once to actually gain it's appreciation from the listener. Compton will be viewed as a classic a few years from now, some of you just don't understand it. "Deep water" "one shot kill", "its all on me", "All in a days work", "Animal", "Diary", "For the love of money", "Medicine Man" "Just another day" are all classic songs on that album, you guys are saying this album is "average", gtfoh with that BS, yall gotta learn to sit down and live with an album for a month and not bump anything else for it really to speak to you.

i actually took the time to bump this project without listening to anything else for a month and i'm astounded as to how anyone with a good hear can hate on this.

that's probably why he attached that album to that NWA movie by making it a soundtrack

instead of a full blown Dr Dre album

that Dr Dre brand is super hot right now, and if he comes out with a mediocre album

it could potentially jeopardize his brand

that's probably why Detox hasn't come out

Same clowns will turn around call some weak ass Young Thug mixtape classic. Yet well-crafted albums like TPAB and Compton are "average" or "came and went."

These casual fans nowadays are dumb fukks.

the best coast
listened to it once the day it dropped and not since :francis:

ultimate respect to dre but damn it was disappointing

being a perfectionist is good when you're young but one album a decade is taking it too far

50 year olds can't drop albums like 20-30 year olds

he wasted a lot of his prime being a "perfectionist"

I didn't even listen to the full project. It didn't appeal to me within a few tracks..don't think I'll go back to it either, other than checking for the features
