Most dissappointing Album I ever listened to.
Was hyped af and it was trash
Never thought dre would put out a Bullshyt solo album but it happened :mjcry:

Talking To My Diary is great but its actually an older song. If he wouldve just put out that damn detox Album with like the best 20 Joints of all the hundreds he Recorded and the Rest of the songs for free/on Mixtapes or some shyt he wouldve closed his career perfectly.
Instead We got this. I seriously hope je does another project which is actually good

100 percent.

Dr. Dre didn't even sound like Dr. Dre on this album. Jacking other's flows. The only song that sounded like Dre was Talking to My Diary.

It literally didn't make sense to me as I listened to that album. I haven't played it since it came out.

This shyt was basically like that 96 Aftermath compilation.

exactly. I dont know how old the nikkas bigging up this album are,but this is exactly what it was.
Sonically it as on point, great mixing etc but nothing was working artistically on there.
There's no meemorable, grooves, verses or hooks on the project. It was weak as fukk

I got Compton back in rotation now, and this album really won't bad. You know what I think? I think some of us had just grown accustom to all of this bullshyt that's out there now; so when an actual ALBUM like Compton comes along, we almost don't even know how to interpret it because it's been so long since we heard some an actual ALBUM of songs with great mixing, mastering, production and lyrics.

Dre had a who's who of talented motherfukkers on this shyt; Kendrick, Anderson Paak, King Mez, Jon Connor, Marsha, and so on and we ain't even realize the album he put together cause we in the era of a "hot song" for a second and then move on to the next bullshyt.

Dre came back and gave us an album to digest and dissect and we overlooked that shyt. :francis:

breh dre tries to do too damn much on everything...

nate dogg dead...so u not gonna get 2001

he not hungry nomore so u not gonna get the chronic..

im the biggest dj quik stan on this damn board...n dre jus shytted on anything quik could ever come up with...he raised the bar high in compton production wise..

gotta remember,,,dre was braidin a unicorn(makin detox)..he scrapped that shyt..got inspired doin the nwa movin..n this is what u get..

everything gel right...

if dre would have got bone thugs..on 4 the luv of money instead of who he had...man...i promise this shyt woulda broke internet..

hell if he even had a eazy verse in the stash..

xzibit...snoop...n game...aint sounded this good since they debut

sonically...after 15plays...aint no rappin to date..fukkin with this shyt..aint shyt wrong with this album...

this weekend...play the chronic...2001...then compton..

compton moves to 2nd....

After revisiting this album again last night and now having it back in rotation early this morning, yup, I agree with everything you said except for it being better than 2001. I don't know about that.

The album threw me for a loop when it 1st came out; while I thought some of the beats and stuff was cool, it was just kinda all over the place to me. But I think many of us had just grown accustom to the bullshyt music we hear on the day to day that when an actual ALBUM comes along, we don't even know how to dissect and digest it anymore because we've become so programmed to the "hot song" of the moment these days.

Dre came back and gave us an ALBUM to dissect and digest, not some trendy bullshyt.

But you right on point with this, bruh :myman:

1. It was bad,real bad
2.And you're wrong. nikkas be thinking they're smarter than they actually are, trying to diagnose nikkas minds, with very little insight into whom we are at all.
The album was just weak. People arent upset that it's not like other current albums. People are upset because unlike dre's Classic productions, there's nothing memorable about the album.
The album isnt memorable cause the songs arent memorable.
The songs arent memorable because the hooks, verses and beats aren't memorable.
Dre is lost on what to do and his team is too.
3.All them cats you named aint shyt special at all.
4. He made us wait for a wack dish,we aint feeling it
