So, the most likely way that happened is when he got clapped, they deemed it as a violation of one of their terms of partnership and/or service, but he was able to argue that there were no terms that call out whatever it was that he did specifically. Assuming that was the case, basically the fair judgement would be they he stays banned, but they have to pay him whatever they owe due to voluntarily terminating the deal without clearly defined cause.
Obviously I don't know what all is in a Twitch contract, but if they run their legal shyt fast and loose like they seem to do most of their other decisions, I can easily see that happening. To be honest, I imagine it's probably pretty hard to put together a sensible and enforceable morality cause for a platform that thrives on fukkery.
