He been talking about getting a new laptop for a year

I knew they were not going to fix it. He can go back to the Apple store and it's going to be the same problem. It's going to crash again unless they replace the laptop.

He could use VLC to record the clips and have them saved in a playlist. If the computer crashes just open the playlist again. The way he's doing it with the different desktops sounds more difficult.
